Andrew Dobbie is the Founding Director of MadeBrave, a Creative Brand agency in Glasgow and London. Covering everything from branding, to website development, social media and training, we spend our days making brands bigger, bolder and stronger.
What do you think about when you’re driving alone?
I'm not patient enough to sit and read a book, so I use my commute to listen to audiobooks and get my day-to-day learning in. On audible, you can speed it to turbo-time, so it's like I get all my learning from a chipmunk. Other than that, I'm wondering where the next petrol station is (my car has a bit of an unhealthy drinking problem).
What would you do if you had an Elephant that you couldn't sell and couldn't give away?
Paint it teal and use it to make an entrance at every client pitch. Obviously.
What's the most exciting thing you are working on right now?
We're developing the training side to MadeBrave and have been doing talks for Google and most recently, Unilever. So we're pretty stoked about that. I'm also building a man shed at home.
What would you like to do when you grow up?
Don't grow up, it's a trap.
What attracted you to join us in Berlin?
Apart from the currywurst, I love Germany. I've been there 6 times already and I also speak very good pigeon German - according to Doulingo, I'm 1% fluent. Also, I'm a big Power of Youth fan-boy and like to surround myself by positive, ambitious go-getters who also like currywurst. All of these events give me loads of energy and I meet the best people. It's like crack for entrepreneurs.
